Ernest J Long (1941-1945)

 

Mr Long was a deputizer for North Africa Mission, however, the war years led to many cancellatiions in his work. Bethesda called him to pastor the church during the war years and in March 1941 he accepted.

 

Bethesda was bombed twice during the war years, and although the main hall was severely damaged by the second bomb, the building remained standing.

 

Mr Long pastored the church into her centenary year and returned to his work for NAM when the war ended.
