a. Unity

​

Both the Old and New Testaments are clear that there is one God. Moses taught in Deuteronomy 4:35 and 6:4 "the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him" and" Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one". Isaiah emphasises this doctrine; Isaiah 44:6 " I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God", Isaiah 45:5 "I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me".

Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 8:4 "there is none other God but one" and in 1 Timothy 2:5 "there is one God".
